Frequently Asked Questions

Our Expert Answers

What types of cases do you take?
We handle wage and hour violations (e.g., overtime, off-the-clock work, employee misclassification, travel time, tip theft, minimum wage), employment discrimination (e.g., age, disability, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy) and class or collective actions on behalf of employees.
We handle most wage and hour matters and class and collective action cases on a contingency fee basis, meaning you pay nothing upfront and we only get paid if we win or settle your case. For employment discrimination matters, we sometimes require an upfront retainer and charge on an hourly basis, depending on the nature and complexity of the case. We’ll explain all fee options during your initial case evaluation.
If you worked under similar wage, timekeeping, or other employment policies as other employees and were harmed by the same practice, you may be eligible. We’ll evaluate whether your experience aligns with that of other workers and whether a collective or class lawsuit is viable.
Every case is different. Depending on the facts, you may be entitled to unpaid wages, overtime, “liquidated” damages (i.e., double damages), and attorneys’ fees. In certain types of discrimination cases, you may also be eligible to recover emotional distress damages and/or punitive damages. We will evaluate your potential recovery during your case review.
